Andrew Leggett has been a jewellery designer since 1975. He trained with eminent British jewellery designers in London's West End, and in 1985 he opened his own shop, trading as Aurum designer-jewellers.
In the workshop above the shop, Andrew and his small team of jewellery designers and goldsmiths create fine contemporary jewellery, especially contemporary engagement rings, handmade wedding rings, and bespoke jewellery of all kinds.
Based near Brighton, in Worthing West Sussex, we specialise in handmade one-off pieces of modern jewellery in platinum, gold and fine gemstones. We don't employ sales staff, so all clients deal direct with our highly skilled craftsmen.

Much of what we do is wedding related, and contemporary engagement rings and wedding rings form a large part of what our skilled jewellery designers are commissioned to create. Since 1985, we have built an enviable reputation within the jewellery trade and amongst lovers of fine contemporary jewellery for the quality of our modern jewellery products.
We produce many handmade modern wedding rings, including platinum wedding rings and diamond wedding rings, and specialise in bespoke wedding rings. Fitted wedding rings are individually designed to sit perfectly with a customer's own engagement ring.
We are British jewellery designers, situated on the South Coast near Brighton, in Worthing, West Sussex, attracting clients from across the UK and beyond. We also have stockists in Truro, Cornwall and in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.

Andrew Leggett contemporary jewellers have always designed and handmade contemporary engagement rings in platinum and 18ct gold, and now also produce hallmarked palladium engagement rings and wedding rings.
We love creating bespoke engagement rings. Some customers come to us with a fully-formed design in mind, but most need some input from our expert jewellery designers to develop initial ideas into a finished design. Many of the bespoke engagement rings we create for clients are based on the design of one of our stock rings, fine-tuned to the exact requirements of the client, some are a combination of two or more ideas, whilst others are completely unlike anything we have made before. As true jewellery designers, we start from scratch each time, listening to the client's brief, discussing possibilities, and offering ideas and advice as required. For our stock modern jewellery, including our contemporary engagement rings we use only very high quality diamonds and we prefer to stick with D colour, VS clarity or better, but for commissions we will use whatever diamond quality is specified by the customer. Where appropriate certificated diamonds are used in our contemporary engagement rings, and of course they are guaranteed non conflict diamonds.
