Introducing the Flick -
exclusive handmade engagement rings

This range of modern engagement rings has become the signature style of jewellery designer Andrew Leggett. The Flick engagement ring was inspired by the classic "two stone crossover" diamond solitaire ring, which is a lovely style that has been around forever, but does not usually sit well with a straight wedding ring. The flick overcomes this problem with it's one flat side to sit perfectly alongside the wedding ring. The diamond is pushed down the finger, and one shoulder 'flicks' down to meet it - hence the name for these unusual and striking modern engagement rings.

We specialise in creating one-off handmade engagement rings, and offer clients the opportunity to get involved in the design. The Flick is a popular style of modern engagement rings, but each one is unique, as it is created for a particular person, taking into account their personal style, the kind of jewellery they usually wear, stature, size of hand, skin colouring, and of course budget.

We carry examples of the Flick engagement ring in stock, featuring diamonds from around 0.20 ct upwards, in round brilliant, oval and marquise cuts.

The stone quality we favour for all our modern engagement rings is D-colour (the very whitest grade of diamond) and VS clarity (very small inclusions), but with bespoke engagement rings we are happy to use the quality required by the client.
We make the Flick engagement ring in platinum, 18ct yellow gold, and 18ct red gold, individually or combined in various colourways, with a choice of polished or matte finish.
The width of band can be from 2mm to 6mm, depending on personal taste, and the profile or cross-section can be rounded or flat. Often the stone size is dictated by the budget, as we are able to select a stone to suit the pocket of each client. This is also the case with all of our bespoke engagement rings.

We are usually asked to make the flick engagement ring with a diamond, but can also use sapphires and other stones to produce unique modern engagement rings in the Flick style. The bottom picture shows striking modern engagement rings with an oval pink Sapphire and one with a beautiful trilliant purple Sapphire, and can make bespoke engagement rings with other stone shapes and colours.
The possible variations are endless, and we are always pleased to discuss individual twists on the Flick theme and of course completely unique handmade engagement rings of all kinds.
